Sungkai is a small town in between Bidor and Terolak. It is located in the state of Perak, Malaysia and is about 74 kilometers away from Ipoh. There is a very small population here in Sungkai with a mix of Malays, Chinese, Indian and some local natives. Most of the business here owned by the Chinese. There are lots of Malay villages found in Sungkai too. As compared to back then, Sungkai is a busier town now.

How to get there: |
There are three ways for coming to Sungkai, either by car, by train or by bus.
By Car
Should you decide to come by car, do remember to get on the North-South Expressway. The distance is approximately 124 kilometers from Kuala Lumpur where it normally takes about 1 hour and 18 minutes to arrive at Sungkai. Of course if you prefer to just get a taxi service, you may do so by getting the outstation taxi service.
By Train
To board the train, if you are coming from Kuala Lumpur, you may get on the KTM Train going to Sungkai at KL Sentral, the journey takes about 3 hours and there has only one trip per day. For those taking a train from Tanjung Malim in Perak, you must first take a train towards Bank Negara Station then from there go to Tanjung Malim and lastly to Sungkai. The time needed for the whole trip is roughly 2 and a half hours.
By Bus
Lastly, you may come here by bus, there are 5 buses daily departing from Kuala Lumpur PuduS entral and stop at Bidor town, from Bidor you may then take a taxi to Sungkai. It is only 25 minutes away.
