Kulim is a city laying on the borders of Kedah state, and only a short drive away from Bukit Mertajam and Butterworth of Penang state. Once a mining town for tin ore, the most famous landmark in Kulim would be the independence clock officiated by the Sultan of Kedah back in the 1950’s. Kulim has also established a Hi-tech park being developed and promoted as an integrated science park for technology.
One of the hidden gem of Kulim is the Sungai Sedim Recreational Forest. Still relatively undiscovered, it turns out to be a great place that host many exciting outdoor activities such as white water rafting, canopy walk, flying fox and more. The cuisine in Kulim is also unique and amazing, heavily influenced by the famous baba nyonya style of cooking from Penang. Visitors can enjoy great food such as Laksa and Cendol there.
