Klang is the city and was once the capital of the royal state Selangor in Peninsular Malaysia. It is located on the west coast of Peninsular Malaysia before Shah Alam. The town is named after the famous Klang River in which it cuts through the town in half and flow till the western end of Klang Valley. Klang has a total area of 573 square kilometers and the population is about 740,000. One of the busiest transshipment port and container port in the world is found here, the Port Klang.

How to get there
By Car
Visitors may come to Klang by car. There are a few major highways which connect to Klang, you may come by via The North Klang Valley Expressway (NKVE), Federal Highway, Shah Alam Expressway (KESAS Highway) and The South Klang Valley Expressway (SKVE).
By Bus
If you are coming by bus, you can either take the Transnational, Cityliner, Rapid KL or KMK Express where the buses will stop at Klang Sentral, the bus and taxi terminal in Klang.
By Train
Besides, there are train services coming to Klang as well. You may board the KTM Komuter which come straight to Klang’s railway station located at Jalan Stesen.
By Cruise
For tourists who wish to drop by Klang by boat, there are Star Cruises which stop at Pulau Indah in Port Klang as well.
