The capital city of Perak, Ipoh is located at 165km from Penang and 205km from Kuala Lumpur. Other than air-conditioned coaches that operate daily shuttle from Kuala Lumpur International Airport to Ipoh, there are also plenty of bus services available from the bus terminals in Kuala Lumpur namely Pudu Sentral and Hentian Duta as well as terminals from Penang and other parts of the country to Medan Gopeng Terminal in Ipoh.
Alternately, taxis, private transfer services and rental cars can be easily obtained from Kota Bharu, Alor Setar, Taiping, Kuala Kangsar, Teluk Intan, Penang, Butterworth, Cameron Highlands, Tanjung Malim and Kuala Lumpur to Ipoh.
By Rail
Malayan Railways provides train services to all major towns in Perak. Sungkai, Batu Gajah, Ipoh, Kuala Kangsar and Taiping are some major stops to name. There are also numerous regular express trains and Electric Train Services between KL Sentral, Seremban and Ipoh.
By Air
Sultan Azlan Shah Airport is located in the city centre of Ipoh. Airlines such as Firefly operates frequent flights between Ipoh and Singapore whereby Berjaya Air operates regular flights between Subang Airport and Pangkor Island.
