Itinerary:

Day 1

Upon arrival at Siem Reap International Airport, you will be greeted by your tour guide and driver. Then, board the transfer to the hotel for check-in and spend the evening at your leisure before turning in for the night.

Day 2

Have a delicious breakfast at the hotel, before meeting with your tour guide and driver in the hotel lobby. Transfer to Angkor Archaeological Park and proceed with the day’s sightseeing: South Gate of Angkor Thom, Bayon, Baphoun, Phimeanakas, Elephant Terrace, Leper King Terrance and Ta Prohm. Following lunch at a local restaurant, the tour continues with a visit to Angkor Wat, the largest temple in the world. The day concludes with catching a stunning sunset at the temple before returning to the hotel and getting a good night’s rest.

Day 3

After breakfast, transfer to Tonle Sap, South East Asia’s largest freshwater lake, for sightseeing, and exploring local floating villages and freshwater mangroves. Cruise through floating villages to see the daily life of the Khmer people living on the lake, then marvel at the abundant freshwater mangroves surrounding it. Transfer to a local restaurant for lunch before heading to Wat Bo and the Cambodian Handicraft Incubation Centre at the Artisan Angkor. End the day with an overnight stay in Siem Reap.

Day 4

Enjoy breakfast before departing for Phnom Penh, the capital city of Cambodia. During the journey, make a photo stop at Naga Bridge to see the mythical serpent carvings. Then, stop at Kampong Thom province to visit the largest stone carving village, where many residents are expert stone carvers. Resume the journey and arrive at Phnom Penh. Have lunch at a local restaurant, then visit Skun, a small market town that hosts the unique, daily Skun Market. Here, visitors can browse local wares, interact with friendly vendors, and try some adventurous local delicacies such as fried spiders and tarantulas. At night, transfer to the hotel, check-in and have a restful night.

Day 5

Have breakfast at the hotel before heading to the Killing Fields of Cheung Ek Genocidal Centre, a mass grave site used during the Khmer Rouge regime. Then, visit the Tuol Sleng Genocide Museum, a former Khmer Rouge prison and interrogation facility. Have lunch at a local restaurant, followed by a photo stop at the Royal Palace, a group of buildings serving as the official royal residence of the King of Cambodia. On the south side of the palace grounds, visitors can see the Silver Pagoda, with its blend of Khmer and Thai influences, and opulent décor. When done, head over to Wat Phnom, a pagoda built to symbolise the name of Phnom Penh and reflect the Khmer national identity. Next is Wat Ounalom, the headquarters of Cambodian Buddhism and the residence of the country’s Buddhist monks. At night, visit Phnom Penh’s Central Market to browse local wares and admire the Art Deco architecture. End the day by returning to the hotel and turning in for the night.
