Bandar Sunway is one of the most developed townships in the state of Selangor. It was developed by the Sunway group to be a leader in entertainment, education, healthcare, and leisure. Bandar Sunway is home to 2 prestigious private higher education facilities, Monash University and Sunway University. The Sunway Medical Centre which is one of the leading private hospitals in the region is also situated in Bandar Sunway.
The most iconic location in Bandar Sunway is the mega shopping mall known as Sunway Pyramid, with a unique Egyptian themed design of a Pyramid with a lion standing guard at the entrance. Sunway Pyramid is also famous for its ice skating rink, which attracts many visitors daily. It is connected to the Sunway Lagoon theme park, one of the largest theme parks in Malaysia holding several records such as the world’s largest wave pool, world’s largest man-made sandy surf beach, world’s longest pedestrian suspension bridge and much more that will definitely keep visitors amazed and entertained.
Visitors planning to stay the night can stay at the Sunway Resort Hotel or Sunway Pyramid Hotel, which are connected to both the theme park and shopping mall. These hotels are the only upper end hotels in the township.
