Gopeng is a town located in the state of Perak, within the district of Kampar. Once a town bustling with tin mining, Gopeng has developed to become a town well known for its beautiful rainforest, and local cuisine.

5 kilometers from the town center is Gua Tempurung, one of the longest caves in Peninsula Malaysia. Gua Tempuring is popular among local and even foreign cave spelunkers. Part of it has been equipped with electric lighting and walkways and tours are available to explore the 3 very large chambers of the cave.
