The Voice of Nature “Bird & Bush Cricket Festival” is a very special event which celebrates a long tradition of recreational activities among the residents of Kedah. However, due to urbanization, the frequency at which these recreational activities are being done are getting fewer. This event hopes to revive and rekindle these activities. Some of the unique activities being held during this event is the Bird Singing competition where participants sing using only bird sounds. It is a eye-opening and pleasant event where even people from Singapore and Thailand participate. Cricket Chirping competition is another highlight of this event. Judges will judge the contestants on a variety of aspects such as melody and pitch. So if your in the neighbourhood, why not try something different for a change? Attend the event and have a look at how some of our ancestors passed their time.
