All domestic and international fishing enthusiasts are welcomed to join the Langkawi International Fishing tournament (LIFT). This three days two night event is no doubt the most anticipated fishing competition in the region. Anglers from all parts of the world will arrive at the Langkawi Island to attempt to catch the biggest fish. Each participating boat will be supplied with 3 kgs of assorted baits which consists of small squids, prawns etc. Among the species of fishes that are contested are tuna, grouper, Queenfish, Barracuda, GT, Narrow Barred Mackerel, Cobia, Rainbow Runner, Snapper, Sweetlips, Emperor, Mahi-Mahi, Daimond Trevally, Threadfin Trevally and many more. This is definitely an exciting sports event not to be missed by all avid anglers.
