Kelantan state situated at the East Coast region of Malaysia is hailed as a “cultural pot of Malay culture”. Many forms of Malaysian heritage are believed to be originated from Kelantan; although they are later recognized as the Malay heritage. However, the one-of-a-kind Kelantan art makes it a masterpiece concept which cannot be found elsewhere in Malaysia. The Kelantan Cultural Arts Carnival is back to promote the uniqueness of Kelantanese culture. It was initially an initiative to promote Kelantan as a tourist destination with rich culture, natural attractions and delicious food.
This annual event brings to you the very best of Kelantan with timeless traditions of Wayang Kulit (shadow play), Seni Silat Tari (martial arts), Dikir Barat, Gasing Uri (top spinning), Rebana (giant drums), Kertok and many more. Apart from that, handicraft products such as songket, silverware and mengkuang will be introduced to the visitors as well.
