Your exciting journey begins with meeting the Airlink Travel representative and tour leader in KLIA, where they will assist you with the check-in process. Day 2

Enjoy a hearty breakfast before checking out. When ready, depart for Changde and savour a delightful lunch at a local restaurant. Then, sightsee at Liuye Lake, named after a willow leaf, and join the included cruise to enjoy the serene landscape. Stroll down Changde Street and visit Changde Poetry Wall, the longest poetry wall, stretching over 3km along the Yuan River. Head to Gaoshan Jie, a food street, and sample unique street foods and delicacies. End the night with dinner at a local restaurant before checking into the hotel and getting some rest.

Day 3

Savour a hotel breakfast, then check out. Depart for Phoenix, praised as “the most beautiful town in China”, a charming county town renowned for its natural beauty, rich history, colourful ethnic customs, and amazing night scenery. Have lunch at a local restaurant. Explore Phoenix Ancient Town with a sightseeing boat ride on the Tuojiang River, before visiting the Wanming Pagoda, standing 21 metres high and decorated with paintings and sculptures. Make your way to the Shawan Scenic area at the east gate where you can see the Rainbow Bridge, and Wanming Pagoda or enjoy refreshments while taking in the scenery. Walk down Stone Street, a street paved with large, smooth stones worn down over the years by generations of residents. Enjoy dinner at a local restaurant, then return to the hotel for a comfortable night in.

Day 4

Eat breakfast at the hotel, followed by check out. Drop by Chadong Ancient Town, a border town located at the junction of Chongqing, Guizhou and Hunan. Enjoy the authentic cuisine from all three provinces and experience the local culture and history. Have lunch at a local restaurant, then depart for Furong Town, a town with more than 2000 years of history and is built along a hillside dotted with waterfalls. Hop on a buggy ride to explore the narrow streets and alleys, and board the cruise to see the town’s waterfalls and surrounding lush scenery. In the evening, depart for Zhangjiajie and enjoy a night tour of the 72 Strange Buildings, the world’s tallest Tujia-stilted building. The rest of the night is free to spend at your leisure with dinner being your arrangement. Transfer to the hotel before checking into the hotel for a good night’s rest.

Day 5

Enjoy a delicious breakfast at the hotel, before embarking on an adventure to Tianmen Mountain, also known as Heaven’s Gate Mountain. Take the Tianmen Mountain Cableway up, a cableway that has a total length of 7,455 metres and a height gap of 1,279 metres. Stand on the Lingxiao Platform, an observation deck, then see the majestic God Buddha. Walk through the mysterious Guigu Cliffside Path, named after a religious master who lived and practised his skills there. Experience the thrilling Glass Skywalk, suspended 1,430 metres in the air. Then, take a one-way ride up on the escalator to Tianmen Cave, a natural water-eroded cave. Drive past the iconic and dangerous Winding 99 Bends Road, a road full of sharp turns on vertical cliffs.

Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant before continuing to the Tujia Folk Customs Park, where the Fengqing Garden is a cultural attraction that showcases the traditional customs and inheritance of the Tujia people. At night, watch the Tianmen Fox Fairy Show, a musical drama set at the foot of Tianmen Mountain. After a day of exploration, have a satisfying dinner at a local restaurant then return to the hotel for some much-needed rest.

Day 6

Have breakfast at the hotel before heading to the Yuanjiajie Scenic Area, where you will take the Bailong Elevator, the tallest outdoor elevator in the world, up to see the sights. See The Backyard Garden, with its freestanding natural obelisks, deep ravines and dense flora coverage. Next is The First Bridge of the World, a natural bridge stretching across two cliffs. Then, head to the Enchanting Platform, a natural viewing platform that gives visitors a bird’s eye view of the scenery. See the Avatar Hallelujah Mountains, named after the 2009 film by James Cameron. Admire Yangjiajie Peak Wall from a distance and see stone peaks that run parallel to each other.

Have a delicious lunch at a local restaurant before taking the Bailong Elevator down to Tianzi Mountain. Then, ride an eco-friendly car to the Imperial Writing Brush Peaks, sky-high rugged stone peaks that look like brushes. Don’t miss visiting Xihai Stone Forest, tall rocks rising from the ground resembling petrified trees. Then, visit the Ten-Mile Gallery, before hopping on a cosy train and passing by other sites such as Herb-collecting Old Man and Three Sisters Peak. Head to Zhangjiajie National Forest Park and see the crystal-clear waters that flow through the gorgeous valley of Jinbian Brook Scenic Area. Visit the Four Gates Surrounded by Water, four streams that converge and create the appearance of four gates. After a day of excitement, enjoy a satisfying dinner at a local restaurant before returning to the hotel to unwind and relax.

Have lunch at a local restaurant before departing for Ningxiang. Marvel at Guishan, a large gilded bronze statue of Avalokitesvara with a Thousand Arms and a Thousand Eyes. Hop on an electric car ride to explore Orange Isle, famous for its orange and pomelo season in autumn and the Statue of Young Mao Zedong. In the evening, enjoy a coach view of the Du Fu River Pavilion, a Tang-style wooden building built in memory of the Tang Dynasty “poet-sage” Du Fu, and a Changsha Night Tour. Once done, transfer to the international airport and check into your flight. Board your flight to Kuala Lumpur and enjoy an overnight stay on board.
