Itinerary:

Day 1

Your journey begins with meeting the Golden Destination representative in KLIA. They will guide and aid you with the check-in process. Board the flight to Egypt and enjoy a delicious in-flight breakfast. Arrive in Cairo and meet and greet with the local guide. Board the transfer to the hotel and check into the hotel followed by a short rest before the tour. Head over to a local restaurant for lunch then visit the Egyptian Museum, one of the oldest archaeological museums in the Middle East. Don’t forget to drop by the Mummy Room and the King Tutankhamun exhibit. Nearby is The Saladin Citadel, a defensive fortress built in the Middle Ages. Right next to it is the Muhammad Ali Mosque, with its 84-meter-high twin minarets. Established in 1382, shop at one of the oldest bazaars in Egypt, the Khan El Khalili Bazaar. Browse the goods at the Papyrus Fair & Perfume Shop before having dinner at a local restaurant. Return to the hotel for a restful night’s sleep.

Day 2

Have breakfast at the hotel before checking out. Proceed to Cairo Airport and board the domestic flight to Aswan. Arrive in Aswan and meet and greet with the local guide before heading to a local restaurant for lunch. Sightsee at the High Dam, which provides water, flood protection and hydroelectric power. Next, stop by the Northern Quarries to see the large Unfinished Obelisque carved out of granite. Embark on the Nile Cruise and sail around Elephantine Island by Felucca (Ancient Egyptian sailboat). Admire the scenic beauty of the Botanical Garden from the comfort of the boat. Have dinner on the cruise and turn in for the night.

Day 3

Savour a breakfast box on the cruise then depart on a 3.5-hour journey to Abu Simbel. Enjoy lunch before visiting the Temples of Abu Simbel, two large rock temples dedicated to Ramesses II and his wife, Queen Nefertari. Return to the Nile Cruise and sail to Kom Ombo to tour the Kom Ombo Temple, one of Nile Valley’s stunning temples. Return to the boat and sail to Edfu. Enjoy a relaxed evening, have dinner and overnight on the Nile Cruise.

Day 4

Enjoy a delightful breakfast on the Nile Cruise. Arrive at Edfu and board a Kalesh or horse-drawn carriage to visit Edfu Temple, also known as the Temple of Horus, and marvel at the reliefs on the outer pylons of the temple. Head back to the Nile Cruise and sail to Esna to cross the Canal Lock. Have lunch as the boat sails to Luxor. Dress up and get ready for a dinner party – Experience an Egyptian Galabea Party (Costume at your own expense). After the party, enjoy the last night on the Nile Cruise and get a good night’s sleep.

Day 5

Have breakfast on the Nile Cruise before checking out and disembarking. Hop on a horse carriage ride heading to the Luxor Market, where guests can look for souvenirs and great bargains. Have lunch at a local restaurant, then head over to Karnak Temple, the largest religious site in the world. Explore the massive complex of Luxor Temple and see the giant statues of Ramses II at the entrance. Check out Valley of Kings, an ancient burial ground of many Egyptian pharaohs. Next is Queen Hatshepsut Temple, considered a masterpiece of ancient architecture. Stop by Memnon Colossi for a photo opportunity with two massive stone statues of Pharaoh Amenhotep III. Board the overnight train from Luxor to Cairo, then savour a dinner box before having a restful night.

Day 6

Have breakfast on the train before checking out and arriving in Cairo. Disembark the train and sightsee at one of the Seven Wonders of the World, The Great Pyramids of Giza, then hop on a camel ride and head over to see the Great Sphinx of Giza. Have lunch at a local restaurant. Visit and learn about the history of the first capital of Ancient Egypt, Memphis. Tour the Pyramid Sakkara, part of the necropolis of Memphis and the largest archaeological site in the country. Have dinner at a local restaurant and return to the hotel to get some rest.

Visit Montazah Palace Garden “King Faruk’s Palace”, where guests can stroll through lush gardens filled with flora and fauna. View the largest Roman triumphal column in Alexandria, Pompey’s Pillar. After that, visit another Roman monument in the city, the Roman Amphitheatre. Marvel at beautiful Islamic mosaics, tiling and woodwork present in the Abu al-Abbas as-Mursi Mosque. Have dinner at a local restaurant before returning to the hotel in Cairo.
