Itinerary:

Day 1

Embark on an exhilarating 4-day journey that immerses you in the natural splendor and cultural heritage of Borneo. Your adventure begins as you arrive at Mulu Airport, greeted by our local guide who will be your companion throughout this extraordinary expedition. A transfer takes you to Mulu National Park, where a world of wonder awaits. The first afternoon leads you on a 3-kilometer plank walk through the lush forest, leading to the awe-inspiring Deer and Lang Caves. As the sun sets, witness a breathtaking spectacle: the Bat Exodus, as countless bats take to the skies. Your day concludes with a warm hotel welcome, setting the stage for a comfortable and relaxing evening.

Kuala Lumpur – Miri – Mulu (Recommended flight arrival before 2pm)

Arrive at Mulu Airport, meet & greet by local guide
Transfer to Mulu National Park for tour (Luggage will send to selected accommodation choice)
2:30pm: 3KM plank walk to Deer & Lang Caves
Bat Exodus: With the scenery of bat flying out from cave entrance at late evening (subject to weather permits)

Day 2

After a hearty breakfast, bid farewell to Mulu as you transfer by longboat to Batu Bungan, a Penan Settlement where you’ll glimpse into the lives of indigenous communities. The adventure continues with a visit to Wind Cave and Clearwater Cave, marveling at the subterranean wonders sculpted by time. A picnic lunch and refreshing swim at Clearwater Spring refresh your spirit. As the day wanes, return to Mulu Airport for a short flight to Miri, where your accommodations offer respite.

Day 3

Day 3 dawns with the promise of more discoveries as you journey to Niah National Park. A 2.5-hour drive takes you through Borneo’s lush landscapes, and upon arrival, the Park Headquarters beckon with a wealth of information. Your footsteps lead you through a 3-kilometer plank walk, revealing treasures like the edible birds’ nests suspended high within the caves. Venture further into the Painted Cave, where prehistoric wall drawings and the remnants of Stone Age dwellers offer a glimpse into ancient history. After a flavorful lunch at a local canteen, head to Tusan Beach, where the sun’s descent paints the sky with vibrant hues, creating a mesmerizing sunset vista. Return to Miri City, and your senses are saturated with unforgettable sights.

Plank walk for 3km to main entrance
Have a look the edible birds nest found high up about 300ft in the cave from the ground

Back to National Park meeting point and have lunch at local canteen
Visit to Tusan Beach for sunset view before back to Miri City

When ready, proceed with your own arrangements to transfer to Miri Airport. Ensure you allow sufficient time for a smooth check-out and a comfortable journey to the airport. Upon arrival at the airport, proceed to check in for your flight to Kuala Lumpur. As you prepare for your departure, reflect on the memories and experiences you’ve gathered during your visit.
