Mount Kinabalu, at 4,095 meters, is a famous peak in Southeast Asia with amazing views and many unique plants and animals.
Starting at Timpohon Gate, the Timpohon Trail takes you through beautiful forests with rest spots and great views along the way.
At 3,272 meters, Panalaban Hostel offers comfortable rest, good food, and stunning views before your final climb.
Reaching The Low’s Peak, the highest point of Mount Kinabalu, gives you the incredible experience of seeing the sunrise over Borneo and the perfect end to your adventure.

Itinerary:

Day 1

Upon arrival at Kota Kinabalu International Airport, you will be warmly greeted by your driver who will assist with your luggage and transportation. From there, embark on a scenic 2.5-hour journey to Kinabalu Park, a UNESCO World Heritage site known for its stunning natural beauty and rich biodiversity.

Upon arrival, proceed to the Sabah Park Office for pre-registration. After completing the necessary formalities, check in at the Fairy Garden Resort, where you can relax and unwind in the serene surroundings. The rest of the day is free for you to explore at your leisure, allowing you to acclimate and enjoy the peaceful ambiance. For dinner, you have the option to dine at your own expense, choosing from the variety of local eateries or the resort’s dining facilities.

Day 2

Start your day with breakfast at your own pace, then purchase a packed lunch from the restaurant for your hike. At 7:15 AM, you’ll be transferred to Kinabalu Park where you’ll report to the Sabah Park Office. After a safety and SOP briefing, meet your mountain guide who will provide essential information for your hike.

A Koktas transport will take you to Timpohon Gate, the starting point of your trek. Following a final safety briefing by your mountain guide, begin your 6 KM hike to Laban Rata. Upon arrival, check in at Panalaban Hostel and rest. Enjoy dinner at the restaurant between 4:30 PM and 7:30 PM, and prepare for an early start the next day with lights off at 9:00 PM.

Day 3

Day 3 of your adventure begins with an early start as you prepare for your ascent to the summit of Mount Kinabalu, Low’s Peak. At 2:00 AM, enjoy a hearty supper at the restaurant before embarking on your journey at 2:30 AM. Witness the breathtaking sunrise as you climb to the summit, reaching the peak around 7:00 AM. After soaking in the spectacular views, you’ll begin your descent.

Upon returning to Laban Rata, enjoy a well-deserved breakfast at the restaurant. At 10:30 AM, check out and commence your descent to Timpohon Gate. From there, a short walk will lead you to Park transport waiting at the Park HQ office. Take some time to rest and enjoy lunch at a restaurant outside Kinabalu Park. Your driver will collect your Climbing Certificate on your behalf. Finally, you’ll be transferred back to Kota Kinabalu City or the airport, marking the end of your unforgettable Mount Kinabalu adventure.

Transfer out from Park is 5PM; climber(s) arriving Park early is/are required to wait till the transport arrived as scheduled
RM 100/vehicle/way to Kinabalu Park before 6AM or from Kinabalu Park after 7PM
RM 50/vehicle/way for transfer from city to airport before 6 AM or airport to city after 10 PM
Mountain guide overtime surcharge after 4PM at RM 15/hour/guide shall be borne by climber, paid directly to the guide
Additional surcharges will be applied for replacement of climbers/ reduction of group size
Before attempting the climb up Mount Kinabalu, please refrain from doing so if you have a history of certain medical conditions such as heart disease, hypertension, chronic asthma, obesity, peptic ulcer, severe anemia, diabetes, epileptic fits, arthritis, heart palpitation, hepatitis/jaundice, or muscular cramps, or if you have any other conditions that could be aggravated by cold, exertion, or high altitude.
