Day 1:

Wat Caruk Padang

Wat Caruk Padang is located within the Sik district and can be reached via Gurun Toll from North South Highway. After the toll exit, follow the K10 route and drive for about 30 minutes.

Paddy Museum

Paddy Museum is located at the Northern part of Kedah, built in 2004. The Museum is one of the few museum in the world with paddy theme. The most attracted part in the museum is the Murals showcased in the second floor, one of them is the murals are painted by some 60 artists from North Korea. The turning platform is also a good place to relax and enjoy the beautiful surrounding. At the bottom floor of the building, you will find some tools and equipments used for paddy harvesting, it is a good learning point for people for wish to learn more about paddy.

National Science Centre

National Science Centre is located near to the Paddy Museum. The centre is not as big as those found in Kuala Lumpur or Singapore, but there are still some good stuffs to explore. This place is recommended for visitors with children, otherwise, i will suggest to skip.

Alor Setar Tower

Located in the town centre, Alor Setar Tower is the landmark of Alor Setar and is a must see destination. There is a restaurant within the tower and a rotating platform that overlooking the city of Alor Setar.

After the Alor Setar Tower visit, we take a rest and refresh in the hotel. At about 4pm, we move on to the town centre again as most of the attractions that we are going to visit are located along the Lebuhraya Darul Aman. The destinations that we visited are Balai Besar, Istana Kota Tengah, Balai Nobat, Clock Tower, Zahir Mosque, Wisma Negeri, Galeri Sultan Abdul Halim, Balai Seni Negeri and the fountain built for the Sultan.
