Jomtien Beach is the sister of Pattaya Beach. The Pattaya Bay area is physically divided into Jomtien Beach and Pattaya Beach by Phra Tamnak Hill. Similar to the sister, Jomtien Beach is a famous beach resorts area but is known to be less touristy. With the construction boom in the past few years, many high rise condominiums had been developed along Jomtien Beach, attracting retired expatriates and Bangkok residents.
At Jomtien, visitors will find a 6km long beach with soft sand and fringed with pine trees. Along the beach, there are hundreds of lazy chairs with shades for rent, making it a great place to relax. The beach is also famous for water sports, including banana boat, jet skiing, parasailing, snorkeling, scuba diving, water skiing, and windsurfing.
Jomtien Beach has a wonderful variety of food, with cafes, Thai restaurants, fresh seafood restaurants, and international restaurants. If you are into shopping, do not miss the Thepprasit Night Market available every Friday to Sunday. There is also an Outlet Mall nearby Jomtien Beach, where you can get well-known brands at great discounts.
Nightlife around Jomtien Beach is equally interesting. It has hundreds of bars and pubs, some of which are family friendly. For more exciting bars, you can visit the nearby area of Dong Tan Beach and Jomtien Complex, where you will find a go go bar, gay bars and adult-only bars.

Jomtien Beach is located approximately 4 km from Pattaya city center and 2 km from South Pattaya. It is conveniently accessible by songthaew or taxi.
