Freedom Beach is among the most beautiful and serene beaches in Phuket. Due to its difficult accessibility, Freedom Beach stands out as a secret, exclusive beach. The beach is surrounded by hills covered in deep jungles, and the bay entrance is guarded by magnificent rock formations.
The exclusivity of Freedom Beach makes it a fantastic get-away from the hustle and bustle of city life. The stretch of soft white sand is just nice for sunbath and lazy day on the beach. Freedom Beach is also an interesting spot for snorkeling. Beneath the crystal clear water, you will see abundant marine life and coral reefs in various colors, especially at the southern end and further into the sea. If you don’t fancy going into the sea however, the beach has a net for beach volley ball and 2 small goals for beach soccer. Unlike other commercialized beaches, there is no trace of noisy water sports such as jet skiing and parasailing to spoil the peaceful ambiance around Freedom Beach.
There are a few restaurants on the beach serving variety of Thai dishes and international food. Interestingly, the southern end of the beach is said to be owned by one of the restaurants here.

Freedom Beach is approximately 15 minutes away from Patong Beach by long tail boat. A round trip costs roughly THB1100 to THB1500.
Alternatively, you can park your vehicle at the parking lot and hike to Freedom Beach. Although it costs only THB100 to park a motorbike, the hike is indeed challenging.
