Snorkeling in the crystal clear water of Koh Chang |
Koh Chang is the 2nd largest island in Thailand, situated in the Gulf of Thailand. The beaches and rainforests in Koh Chang are the island’s biggest attraction – most of the landmass in Koh Chang is covered with national parkland and many visitors are attracted to visit this beautiful island for diving, sailing or go trekking.
The beaches in Koh Chang are similar to any other islands in Thailand, featuring spectacular white sandy beach and crystal clear blue waters. The most popular beach in the island is even called White Sand Beach. Klong Prao Beach, located at the middle of the island’s west coast, is also a famous resort area with a few luxury properties along the coast.
Koh Chang is well preferred by locals and the luxury resorts here are comparable with those found in Phuket or Samui. As the island is relatively new, it is actually a good place for a relaxing holiday than any other more developed islands in Thailand. Not only perfect for visitors looking for beach and water activities, Mu Ko Chang Marine National Park offers more than what a nature lover has to expect, including waterfalls, lush rainforest with a great range of flora and fauna.
Seafood is another attraction in Koh Chang, with a series of seafood restaurants setup along the beachfront. Not only good to taste the freshest seafood in the island, the view over the coastline is simply magnificent. At night, the bars and cafes at the waterfront are the best place for live entertainment and performance.
